The name immediately evokes to mind many things: legendary inker, community-respected veteran artist, gentleman, fan-favorite and art partner of Jack Kirby. For the non-profit organization the Inkwell Awards, Joe is their Hall of Fame namesake and recipient, a living representation of what the art form of inking is really about with a decades-spanning career of work to prove it.</div><div style="color: white; line-height: 1.4em; margin-bottom: 1.25em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">This year The Inkwells wanted to try out a new, additional way of expressing their mission of promoting, educating and recognizing inking and its artists. Utilizing two of Joe’s original penciled images of Namor the Sub-Mariner and Dr. Doom, the organization offered a variety of ink artists in the community a rare opportunity to ink over the pencil art of an inking legend, The 2011 Joe Sinnott Inking Challenge. Both characters are instantly familiar from Joe’s long run on Fantastic Four, where he inked a number of artists, including a career defining run over Jack Kirby, along with Rich Buckler, George Perez and John Byrne.</div><div style="color: white; line-height: 1.4em; margin-bottom: 1.25em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">The art, previously donated on blank variant cover comics for fundraising, was enlarged and converted to blueline on comic-sized boards before being sent out to the chosen inkers. “Some of the inkers challenged themselves to capture the feel of Joe’s clean line work while retaining their own individual style,” Bob Almond, founder & director of the Inkwell Awards, stated. “Others, especially those inkers known for their finishing work, took the spirit of the drawing and amped it up to the next level, bringing in their own sensibilities and drawing skills. Neither approach is ‘wrong’ and seeing both methods actually enhances the experience.”</div><div style="line-height: 1.4em; margin-bottom: 1.25em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">By posting the images side-by-side in their ComicArtFans gallery, this will allow the public to compare the pieces and see what each artist brings to the table and educate people about what inking involves. “This was a concept inspired by promoter Steve Morger’s annual Inking Panel which takes place at his ‘Super-Con’, now the ‘Big Wow Comicfest’ (</span><a href="http://www.super-con.com/" style="text-decoration: none;" target="_blank"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;">http://www.super-con.com/</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">),” said Bob Almond, “and he gave me his enthusiastic blessing about using the idea for our needs.</span></div><div style="color: white; line-height: 1.4em; margin-bottom: 1.25em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"><a class="fancybox" href="http://www.firstcomicsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/namor.jpg" rel="fancybox" style="color: #0052a3; text-decoration: none;" title="namor"><img alt="" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-21367" height="400" src="http://www.firstcomicsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/namor-300x463.jpg" style="-webkit-box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.199219) 0px 0px 0px; background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: #f3f3f3; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; border-bottom-left-radius: 0px 0px; border-bottom-right-radius: 0px 0px; border-bottom-style: solid; border-color: initial; border-color: initial; border-left-color: rgb(221, 221, 221); border-left-style: solid; border-right-color: rgb(221, 221, 221); border-right-style: solid; border-top-color: rgb(221, 221, 221); border-top-left-radius: 0px 0px; border-top-right-radius: 0px 0px; border-top-style: solid; border-width: initial; border-width: initial; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.199219) 0px 0px 0px; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 1em; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px; position: relative; text-align: center;" title="namor" width="259" /></a>“We hope that this will become an annual event,” continued Almond, “and Joe, in anticipation of upcoming films, will be penciling two more cover pieces, Captain America and Thor, as donations and we will use those images for the 2012 Sinnott Inking Challenge. This June marks the scheduled first live awards ceremony for The Inkwells at Heroes Con with Inkwell committee, ambassadors, contributors, and spokesmodel Ms. Inkwell in attendance and with all of the public invited to attend and join the fun. The organization is co-sponsoring the costs of the event with Heroes which will especially include all travel expenses of the award recipients who will be announced exclusively that weekend. So besides the usual ongoing fundraising achieved through their online auctions, this is another opportunity to do so. The pages of original blueline-inked art will be up for auction at ComicArtFans starting Sunday March 20 and will probably run for more than one week. They can be found at the Inkwell Awards auction page at </span><a href="http://www.comicartfans.com/auctions/AuctionProfileAuctions.asp?GCat=35444" style="text-decoration: none;" target="_blank"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;">http://www.comicartfans.com/auctions/AuctionProfileAuctions.asp?GCat=35444</span></a></div><div style="line-height: 1.4em; margin-bottom: 1.25em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">The Inkwell Awards (</span><a href="http://www.inkwellawards.com/" style="text-decoration: none;" target="_blank"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;">http://www.inkwellawards.com</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and educate about the art form of comic book inking and to annually recognize and award the best ink artists and their work. <br />
What have I been up to lately you ask...just the everyday normal things in life spending time with the kids, going to work, doing school work (which I should be doing instead of updating my blog), spending time with my lovely girlfriend and inking as well as making plans for NC Comicon in Mooresville, NC on November 13-14, 2010...but before then I will be going to Big Apple Con in New York from October 1-3 as a spectator taking in the sites and sounds.<br />
And with that being said, here are some pieces I have inked as of late...enjoy! <br />
<br />

What is 24 Hour Comics Day you ask...well it is where a artist is supposed to create a 24 page comic in 24 hours...for myself on the other hand being <strong><em>A INKER </em></strong>and <em><strong>NOT A PENCILLER</strong></em>, I would think that an inker should be able to ink 12 pages in 24 hours since in some cases it takes a tad bit longer to ink a page especially if you have to do any finishes or correct anatomy.<br /><br />So, on Saturday October 3, 2009 several artist descended on The Comic Monstore in Salisbury, NC for 24 Hour Comics Day...these artist that decided to undertake this challenge are the guys from Vanguards of Comics (Jay Gobble, Charles Underhill & Jason Carr wearing the white t-shirts) and myself (wearing the Batman t-shirt).<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq3odwepII/AAAAAAAAAOo/QIO76Vztnks/s1600-h/VOC.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 172px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389321809912833154" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq3odwepII/AAAAAAAAAOo/QIO76Vztnks/s200/VOC.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq427Sks5I/AAAAAAAAAOw/JtNeqYwMC7U/s1600-h/Me+at+the+store.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 150px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389323157870261138" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq427Sks5I/AAAAAAAAAOw/JtNeqYwMC7U/s200/Me+at+the+store.jpg" /></a><br />My first 24 Hour Comics Day at The Comic Monstore in Salisbury, North Carolina was a blast to say the least...listen/watched ALOT of movies (300, Ghostbusters Animated, Ghostbusters, Spirit, Superbad, The Simpsons Movie, Deathproof, Japanese Anime and a few more that I can't remember), listened to alot of music (Lordi, Distrubed, Guns & Roses, Judas Priest & many more), LOTS and LOTS of laughs. The guys from Vanguard got about 20 pages done EACH, I am NOT a Penciller...I am AN Inker and I inked 12 of Charles Underhill's pages in 23 hours...I think I did pretty good for my first ever event.<br /><br /><br />Here is one of the pages I inked for Charles Underhill...this is the Ice Princess.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq-xX_Xx-I/AAAAAAAAAO4/hCVeBaintxs/s1600-h/Ice+Princess+by+Charles+Underhill.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389329659564902370" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq-xX_Xx-I/AAAAAAAAAO4/hCVeBaintxs/s200/Ice+Princess+by+Charles+Underhill.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Shane Peoples (Store Manager) from The Comic Monstore (seen here chillin at 8:16am)<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq2MUI6UgI/AAAAAAAAAOg/H74KJqi-HoY/s1600-h/S7301403.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389320226782990850" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/Ssq2MUI6UgI/AAAAAAAAAOg/H74KJqi-HoY/s200/S7301403.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />who was a really great host...kept suppling us with Bawl's energy drinks for the 24 hours and paid for all our meals (I personally ate Chicken Hibachi for lunch, Wendy's Chicken Club Combo for dinner and Jay bought all of us breakfast from McDonald's at around 6:15am)...all around I had a really great experience, I would do it again.<br /><br /><br />Here are some pictures of Charles, Jay, Jason & I at the START of the event -<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrBsABbtwI/AAAAAAAAAPA/X899DCjgL-A/s1600-h/S7301396.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 199px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389332865766635266" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrBsABbtwI/AAAAAAAAAPA/X899DCjgL-A/s200/S7301396.JPG" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrD2fSk07I/AAAAAAAAAQI/kbvVJyzHmQQ/s1600-h/S7301398.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 191px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389335244981982130" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrD2fSk07I/AAAAAAAAAQI/kbvVJyzHmQQ/s200/S7301398.JPG" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrDtAB1rjI/AAAAAAAAAQA/gGpQLsi4tJo/s1600-h/S7301397.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 194px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389335081971461682" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrDtAB1rjI/AAAAAAAAAQA/gGpQLsi4tJo/s200/S7301397.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Here are some pictures of Charles, Jay, Jason & I near the END of the event - <p><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrCsHrymvI/AAAAAAAAAPo/2FnxO6hN3_8/s1600-h/S7301402.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389333967334972146" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrCsHrymvI/AAAAAAAAAPo/2FnxO6hN3_8/s200/S7301402.JPG" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrCTP57t7I/AAAAAAAAAPY/1xiYv7zk8aI/s1600-h/S7301401.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389333540045043634" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrCTP57t7I/AAAAAAAAAPY/1xiYv7zk8aI/s200/S7301401.JPG" /></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389333781152789058" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SsrChSGf8kI/AAAAAAAAAPg/Laao8Gi8F78/s200/S7301399.JPG" /><strong>Jason & Charles</strong> still cranking out pages, <strong>me</strong> looking for 12 noon and some sleep, <strong>Jay</strong> and all his BLUE BAWL's...<em>these guys are the greatest</em>, I look forward to hangin' with these guys more often. </p><br /><br />Here is an AWESOME Freddy Krueger bust that I picked up during the storewide 24 Hour Comics Day SALE!!! A ton a hard work was put into the convention this year and it didn't go unnoticed.<br />So what did you think? We really want constructive critism in order to fine tune the MonsterCon engine. In particular, we'd like to know what you thought about the location, entertainment, merchandise available, length of the con and the time of year for the con. Email us at: <a href="mailto:comicmonstore@bellsouth.net">comicmonstore@bellsouth.net</a><br />In reflection, here are our thoughts. We saw nearly 1,000 people (attendees, guests, artists, authors, vendors, and musicians) having a wonderful time over the weekend. It's safe to say that we saw nearly twice as many people this year than last year. We heard lots of laughter and fun.<br />We also thought Brad Loree, Ken Kirzinger, Chuck Williams, Brian Krause, Dean & Starr Jones and Robert Harris were incredibly friendly and wonderful guests. Thanks guys.<br />Prior to the show, we had a two page spread in the area newspaper, we were mentioned on the radio, ten thousand postcard flyers were circulated, we were on countless forums, websites, and My Space bulletins, we were listed on <a style="COLOR: #ffff00; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; TEXT-DECORATION: underline" href="http://www.comicbookconventions.com/">http://www.comicbookconventions.com/</a>, and in Comic Buyers Guide, and our website had nearly 6,000 views during the week leading up to the con.<br />While our attendance definately grew over last year, we were expecting a larger turnout. We were a bit baffled at first but I do believe we discovered the biggest problem. On my drive home, I passed 3 gas stations that were completely out of gas. After doing more research, it appears that the Concord/Charlotte area experienced a worse weekend with the sporadic gas shortages that have been plaguing the area over the last several weeks.<br />For this reason, the MonsterCon proudly supports the Energy Independence Plan at <a style="COLOR: #ffff00; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; TEXT-DECORATION: underline" href="http://www.pickensplan.com/">http://www.pickensplan.com/</a>. When Americans feel restricted to travel due to our dependence on oil, something needs to be done soon to remedy the situation.<br />As for next year, we are hopeful that with a new president and fresh sense of optimism, the economy will be in a healthier state and things will only get better from here. After the <a class="mw-redirect" title="Penciler" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penciler">penciler</a> gives a drawing (or copy of the drawing) to the inker, the inker uses black ink, usually <a title="India ink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India_ink">India ink</a>, to produce refined black outlines over the rough pencil lines. The ink may be applied with a pen or a brush, and many inkers use both. The inker is usually responsible for every black line on the page, except for letters, which are handled by a <a title="Letterer" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letterer">letterer</a>. In comic strips, as well as <a title="Japan" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan">Japanese</a> <a title="Manga" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manga">manga</a>, one artist takes responsibility for penciling, inking and lettering, either doing it all him or herself (as for example <a title="Charles M. Schulz" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_M._Schulz">Charles M. Schulz</a>) or hiring assistants. For comics printed in color, there is usually a separate <a title="Colorist" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorist">colorist</a>.<br />Although proper inking is critical to giving comic artwork a professional look, it is often seen as more technical than penciling and is less glamorous, as many inkers go unrecognized. This image has been parodied in the <a title="Kevin Smith" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Smith">Kevin Smith</a> movie <a title="Chasing Amy" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chasing_Amy">Chasing Amy</a>, where <a title="Banky Edwards" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banky_Edwards">Banky Edwards</a> is accused of merely "tracing" the images drawn by the penciler, <a title="Holden McNeil" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_McNeil">Holden McNeil</a>. While inking does involve tracing pencil lines in a literal sense, it also requires interpreting the pencils, giving proper weight to the lines, correcting mistakes, and making other creative choices. The look of a penciler's final art can vary enormously depending on the inker.<br />A pencil drawing can have an infinite number of shades of grey, depending on the hardness of the graphite and the pressure applied by the artist. By contrast, an ink line generally can be only solid black. Accordingly, the inker has to translate pencil shading into patterns of ink, as for example by using closely spaced parallel lines, feathering or cross-hatching.<br />Some inkers will often do more than simply interpreting the pencil markings into pen and brush strokes; depending on how much detail the penciler puts into the pencil drawings, the inker might add <a title="Shading" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shading">shading</a> or be responsible for the placement of black spaces and shadows in the final drawing, for example. An experienced inker paired with a novice penciler might be responsible for correcting anatomical or other mistakes, modifying facial expressions, or changing or improving the artwork in a variety of other ways. Alternatively, an inker may do the basic layout of the page, give the work to another artist to do more detailed pencil work, and then ink the page himself (as <a title="Joe Simon" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Simon">Joe Simon</a> often did when inking <a title="Jack Kirby" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Kirby">Jack Kirby</a>, or as <a title="Michael T. Gilbert" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_T._Gilbert">Michael T. Gilbert</a> collaborated with penciller <a title="Craig Russell" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Russell">Craig Russell</a> on the <a title="Elric of Melniboné" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elric_of_Melnibon%C3%A9#Adaptations">Elric of Melniboné series</a>).<br />The division between penciller and inker described here is most frequently found where the penciler and inker are hired independently of each other by the publisher. Where an artist instead hires his own assistants, the roles are less structured; an artist might, for example, ink all the faces of the characters while leaving the assistant to ink in the backgrounds, or work with the inker in a more collaborative fashion.<br />Even in traditional North American comic books, many artists regularly ink their own work: <a title="Joe Kubert" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Kubert">Joe Kubert</a> and <a title="Jim Aparo" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Aparo">Jim Aparo</a> would usually pencil, ink and letter, considering the placing of balloons as an integral part of the page, while artists such as <a title="Steve Ditko" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Ditko">Steve Ditko</a>, <a title="Kurt Schaffenberger" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Schaffenberger">Kurt Schaffenberger</a>, <a title="Nick Cardy" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Cardy">Nick Cardy</a>, and <a title="Bill Everett" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Everett">Bill Everett</a> almost always inked their own work, sometimes inking the work of other pencilers as well.<br />It is possible to <a title="Traditional animation" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_animation#Digital_ink_and_paint">digitally ink</a> using computers, a practice that is becoming more common as inkers learn to use powerful drawing and editing tools, such as <a title="Adobe Systems" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Systems">Adobe</a> <a title="Adobe Illustrator" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Illustrator">Illustrator</a> and <a title="Adobe Photoshop" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Photoshop">Photoshop</a>, <a title="Inkscape" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inkscape">Inkscape</a>, <a title="Corel Painter" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corel_Painter">Corel Painter</a>, and <a title="Manga Studio" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manga_Studio">Manga Studio</a>. A <a title="Graphics tablet" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_tablet">graphics tablet</a> is the most common tool used to accurately ink digitally, and if it is done in a <a title="Vector graphics" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics">vector-based</a> program, <a title="Dots per inch" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dots_per_inch#DPI_in_digital_image_files">pixelization</a> due to changes in resolution are no longer an issue. However, the process is considered by many to be more time-consuming.<br /><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"><strong><em>Inker stamp provided by fellow inker Diana Greenhalgh </em></strong></span><a href="http://mechangel2002.deviantart.com/art/Inker-Stamp-1-65408895"><span style="font-size:78%;"><strong><em>http://mechangel2002.deviantart.com/art/Inker-Stamp-1-65408895</em></strong></span></a><br /><br />Here is a piece inked by Diana Greenhalgh (<a href="http://mechangel2002.deviantart.com/">http://mechangel2002.deviantart.com/</a>) it is Re-Animator Issue 1 page 21...look at how Diana has embellished from the penciled page to the inked page.<br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SJyFXxj0fbI/AAAAAAAAAEk/Rm1Z-zjUR10/s1600-h/b6415fa821f3b6e5.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5232203510584737202" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SJyFXxj0fbI/AAAAAAAAAEk/Rm1Z-zjUR10/s400/b6415fa821f3b6e5.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"><em><strong>This image can be found at </strong></em></span><a href="http://mechangel2002.deviantart.com/art/Re-Animator-issue-1-pg-21-INKS-70757618"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em><strong>http://mechangel2002.deviantart.com/art/Re-Animator-issue-1-pg-21-INKS-70757618</strong></em></span></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6296177422960321988.post-82707271960152501852008-07-12T04:23:00.007-04:002008-07-12T05:12:58.238-04:00Comics & Toys MonsterCon 2008<a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SHhqg-T9BxI/AAAAAAAAADE/wi_I5wBg1Mc/s1600-h/MonsterCon+%2708+Poster.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222040882651137810" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_JVLV8dxENv8/SHhqg-T9BxI/AAAAAAAAADE/wi_I5wBg1Mc/s320/MonsterCon+%2708+Poster.jpg" border="0" /></a> The Comic Monstore is host to The Comics & Toys Monstercon which is an infusion of The Supernatural (Zombies, Ghosts, etc...), Sci-Fi (Star Wars, Star Trek, etc...) and Superheros (Batman, Spider-Man, etc...) it is one big show that is sure to have something for everyone who attends...here you will find a wide variety of merchandise from dealers coming from all over the East Coast & beyond.
